Stephen's passion for photography began with a PEPSI branded red, white and blue Polaroid camera given by his grandmother. At age 17, he found himself in his high school darkroom as part of his studio arts and journalism major which led to running multiple photo finishing labs in Charleston, SC. Now fully established, Stephen has been a part of the professional photographic industry for nearly 20 years. Stephen specializes photography for commercial promotional use, food and beverage, along with weddings and a variety of other event types.
His photographs have been featured in numerous magazines, papers and blogs including Weddings Unveiled, The Wedding Row, Charleston City Paper, The Art Institute of Charleston Quarterly and others. Awards include 1st and 2nd place along with honorable mention in Charleston City Paper Photography Contest, Martha Stewart Wedding Wire Awards and Best of The Knot Weddings. Stephen also enjoys leading workshops as well as educating enthusiasts and pros alike on a one-to-one basis. In 2016, he partnered as the official photographer to the Charleston Arts Festival in it's inaugural year.
